Rescue Diver Certification


The rescue certification course is designed to develop the knowledge and necessary skills for an individual
to effectively perform diver rescues and assists, and administer necessary first aid.


    •  Book Work ~ Reading the book and answering all of the knowledge reviews.
    • My-Learning ~ My Learning takes you through an interactive course Rescue Diver subjects at home on your computer at your own pace. Feel free to start on any device in you house and switch over to another platform (i.e. desktop to an Ipad)


Pool Dives

  • Pool Dives will be completed for all of the rescue skills before the open water

Ocean Dives

  • Ocean Dives will be conducted from boat and beach to complete all rescue techniques learned in the pool


Student Prerequisites

  •  Minimum age 18, 15 with parental consent
  • Provide proof of current CPR, first aid and oxygen (O2 ) provider (where local law permits) certification*
  • Provide proof of SDI Advanced Adventure Diver certification, or equivalent, or open water diver certification and 40 logged open water dives
  • CPR/First Aid/ 02 provider can be included in this course

3. Hyperbaric Injuries and Management

  • Information collection
  • Access to hyperbaric chambers

4. Accident Management

  • Access to emergency transport/assistance
  • Accident reporting
  • Liability and related legal considerations
